Swift Air Courier has to declare to Jamaica customs the contents and value of each package entering the country through our service. If invoices are not provided, this will result in delays at customs and there is the possibility that the customs officer inspecting the shipment will assign a higher value to your package.
Please note that the threshold is $100 USD, if you want to avoid paying customs duty please stay within this limit. Once it passes the threshold, the entire cost will be taxed, not only the overage. (Ex.USD$101.00 this entire will incur customs duty.)
Please note that when shipping TVs and other fragile items, you do so at your own risk. We have a policy in our warehouse where we do not inspect televisions, making it difficult for us to verify if any damage occurred during transit by the carrier. However, we do provide a special wrapping service and inspection for TVs upon request, available at an extra cost. Feel free to reach out for more information.
No. Please note that items that needs to be refrigerated cannot be sent by neither air nor sea. If sent to warehouse, these items will be confiscated and discarded by the warehouse team. Swift Air Courier will not be responsible for discarded items.
